In 1907, when most of the world still relied on real horsepower, Glenn Curtiss, pioneer aviator, stuffed a V-8 of his own design into a specially made seven foot long motorcycle frame and blasted down Ormond Beach, Fla., at 136 miles per hour to become the fastest man alive. This commemorative belt buckle was part of the AMA Great Destinations collection and celebrated the 90th anniversary of Glenn’s accomplishment.
